This class is for the sewer that wants to learn to how to make garments. Learn to read the store bought patterns, make your own clothes or your grandchildren clothes. Learn different types of fabric and threads. Bring your own sewing machine, sewing supplies (scissors, thread, seam ripper, straight pins, etc), the pattern you wish to make as well as your fabrics.
An emphasis on Hand Embroidery basics and expanded stitches applicable to felt and/or wool projects as you develop your own samplers. Learning how to make templates (using freezer paper) and how to prepare for doing your project. Learning techniques for enriching a felt/wool hand embroidery project. The project is yours to make as basic or enhanced as you wish.
