THE LISA
DRESS-UP©

3-4 hour project 18 6 strand bead crochet necklace
Supplies:
1 ball of #8 Valdani variegated pearl cotton
1 package of coordinating Dress It Up beads
@ 100 size 10 or 11 seed beads to coordinate with pearl cotton and large beads
# 7 steel crochet hook
1 twisted wire needle for transferring beads to pearl cotton
1 button or large bead for closure
small length of beading thread & a needle to attach closure button
Directions:
1. Transfer beads to pearl cotton with twisted wire needle by putting the pearl cotton end through the loop on the twisted wire needle. Pick up a seed bead with this needle and force it over the loop and onto the pearl cotton. After the initial bead is on, all others will slide easily onto the pearl cotton. Then alternate 2-5 seed beads between each specialty bead until you have 18-20 of beads on the pearl cotton. Push the beads down the pearl cotton toward the ball so that you can have about 18 of pearl cotton to get started.
2. ROW 1: Chain 12 (no beads) *Chain 2-5 stitches, then add bead, and repeat this for 17* TIP: add 2-3 more chain stitches before and after any large bead. Chain 13 more stitches with no beads, turn.
3. ROW 2: ** Single crochet 12. Repeat from * to * , Single crochet 12, chain 1 turn.**
4. ROW 3: ** to **
5. ROW 4: Single crochet 2, chain 8, single crochet 2, * to *, Single crochet 12, chain 1 turn.
6. ROW 5: ** to **

If you have any suggestions to improve these directions, please do not hesitate to let me know. Its been a long time since I wrote a crochet pattern, but I had to let you know how to make these wonderful necklaces.
Also, to wash them, just wear them in the shower and then let them dry out!!!
