FRACTAL SUNRISE 2003
I have a new love affair with
fractals & this was the first quilt with them. It was fun to use
unusual materials in creating this. Yellow is hand dyed flannel, black
is sheer stretch knit and then it was embellished with beads & black
pom-poms.

SHADOWS FROM CORONADO'S PAST
2004
A VISIONS Special Challenge &
Exhibition
This was the first time I made photo
transfers and I put them on transparency film. Heavy chenille yarn
made wonderfully texturized edges. I learned so much from the research
and the whole process was satisfying and fun.

FREE TO WANDER 2004
Black, White & Pink Challenge
I have been collecting black & white
fabrics for years, but this was the first time I used them for a black &
white design. Though very graphic, Free to Wander suited my journey
well in learning to negotiate through my many fabrics. I think I
avoided this type of project for a long time because I hate to let go of
colors. Thankfully, we could use pink as well.
