Use a Easy Glide® Tool to design your own Sashiko design & then learn to stitch it by hand. You'll be able to use your creation for a small wall hanging, pillow, tote bag or as part of a larger quilt. Be aware---It can become very addictive! (Kits available with all materials & tool)

FLORIDA APPLIQUÉ (3 HOUR CLASS) $20.00/STUDENT at Store This is another of my creations. It is somewhat similar to Hawaiian appliqué but encompasses many of the things I want to see in my fiber art. I am also a resident of Florida and probably will be until I die, so what better name to give what I consider to be a more vibrant and moving appliqué form. Kits available for $15.00.

MICROWAVE FABRIC DYING -(6 HOUR CLASS) $35.00/STUDENT at Store

Learn to make wonderful hand dyed fabrics in the microwave. This method is wonderful for people who have limited space for dying fabrics. If you love to appliqué, this is a must for your stash! (Group or guild will need to provide several microwave ovens for this class.) Kits of Procion MX dyes & other necessary supplies are $35.00. Students bring fabrics prescrubbed and ready for dyeing per given instructions.

CREATING AN ART QUILT IS NOT SCARY! (Trunk show with lecture) (1-1/2 hours)

QUILTING DESIGNS WITHOUT STENCILS ( 1 -2 HOURS)

This is a demonstration & group participation lecture. Learn to use the fabric and the blocks to determine quilting designs without using stencils, pencils, pens, etc. If participants want personal guidance, they should bring their quilt tops & blocks.

(1 hour would be appropriate for this demonstration, although it could be longer if there is lots of participation.)

1 WEEK SUMMER CAMPS (ALTHOUGH IT DOESN'T HAVE TO BE "SUMMER"!) If you love Butterflies, Flowers & Birds, and can spend 4-5 days using inspiration and your untapped creativity, contact me for further details. (Your location or mine)
