APPLIQUE SUPPLY LIST

Fabrics: Note: 100% cotton fabrics preferred and easier to work. Wash, dry & press.

• 2 dark fat quarters for background
• 2 light fat quarters for background
• an assortment of fabrics in darks, lights, mediums, different scales, prints, tone on tone, solids, etc. (Scraps, fat 1/8, fat 1/4, are great for these projects.)

Other General Supplies:

• Freezer paper
• Glue stick
• Fine pins
• Sharp scissors for fabrics
• Scissors for paper
• #2 pencil & white pencil
• Notepaper & pencil/pen
• Sandpaper (medium or fine)
• Enthusiasm

Hand Applique Supplies:

• Applique sharps or quilting needles (size 9 or 10)
• Thimble (optional)
• Assortment of thread (For this class you can use all purpose thread. Grey & light grey work well with most fabrics.)
• Extra light, magnifier, etc. (optional)

Machine Applique Supplies:

• Sewing machine with straight and zig-zag ability
• Sewing machine accessories including general, embroidery and cording/beading feet.
• Several bobbins wound with fine thread (such as invisible, lingerie, #100 polyester)
• Machine needles: universal, top-stitch, embroidery, metallic
• Stabilizer (such as Tear Easy, tissue/examination paper)
• Assortment of all-purpose and decorative threads
• 1-3 yard lengths of yarn and/or cording

Provided: template materials and miscellaneous materials/tools
